The abandoned openpits of the Bakal became the place of the annual performance.

Bakal openpits are situated 20 kilometers away from Satka. Digging for ore here began in the middle of the 18th century. Local landscape is a result of interaction of man and nature. Close cities inhabitants are using the abandoned openpits, filled with groundwater, for their summer leisure.
Since 2007 the openpits of Bakal mining department are used by the auto racers. One of the stages of the Russia’s Championship – “Southern Ural” rally – is taking place here. The racers consider this gravel track with vertical elevetions and lacets to be one of the most challenging in Russia.
In a few years it became a tradition among the residents of Satka and Bakal to get up early at oneof the summer days and drive in a good company round the spectator areas, from which the mostimpressive special stages can be observed.
