Pikalevo, the Leningrad Region

Pikalevo is 192 km from St. Petersburg. Population is 21500 people. Core enterprises are JSC "BazelTsement-Pikalevo" and JSC "Pikalevsky cement." The city's name became famous after the socio-economic crisis of 2008-2009, the resolution of which occurred only after the personal intervention of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
